About the Artist

Anne Swenson has always had a passion for art and using her creativity.
As a young child she always knew that she wanted to own her own business. Growing up Anne always enjoyed

decorating, flower arranging and basically making pretty out of things.  She started painting signs on wood scraps that

her Dad would gather for her and began selling them at a couple local gift shops at the age of 15.  This only increased her

desire to one day run her own shop.  At age 16, Anne took a couple evening classes on basic painting.  A few hours of

classes was enough to spark her love for painting.  Now that she knew some basics, her creativity took over from there.

She knew that anything was possible if she set her mind to it with Gods help.  Anne has been self taught besides her first

few hours of basic painting classes.  As she continued teaching herself new things, her love for painting on glass was discovered.  She had no idea as she painted that first vase what was to come.

Anne graduated from high school in the spring of 2003 and had her dreams come true as she opened her

shop "Anne's Hearts Desire" in May of 2003, specializing in hand painted glassware.  She is going into her fourth year
of business and is continually learning.  Anne also participates in different art shows throughout the year.
